I began taking photographs when I was 8. The moment of taking a photograph required concentration, composing the shot, timing, and then a moment of stillness as the shudder clicked. That moment would center me in time and space, and I would feel flow. I have taken photographs my whole life, but only recently have explored the idea of presenting them to the outside world. I have two neuroscience degrees and have spent many hours looking through a microscope and capturing images of neurons. I see similar patterns in both the microscopic world and landscape. There is a pattern in the wildness of both environments that transcends what words can capture.
